General information

The competition will be held in accordance with World Athletics rules and regulations set by the organizer. The oval track has eight lanes. Due to the limited number of changing rooms at the stadium, all athletes staying in dormitories must arrive at the stadium already dressed in sportswear. The organizer is not responsible for lost or unattended items. The participating club is responsible for ensuring that its athletes are medically fit to compete.

LIMIT ON THE NUMBER OF STARTS

A maximum of three events plus the relay is allowed!!!
(If an athlete is entered in more than the allowed number of events, they will be removed from the event in which they are ranked highest in the order of events.)

In the 4×60 m relays, combined U13 and U12 category teams compete together, while the U11 category competes as a separate category.

Awards presentation

Awards will be presented in scheduled blocks according to the timetable.

Team leaders are responsible for ensuring that athletes who finish in 1st to 3rd place are present for the awards ceremony.

At the end of the competition, the best performances in each boys’ and girls’ category will be announced.

The selection of the best performances is at the sole discretion of the organizer.

Therefore, team leaders must ensure that athletes are present at the final awards ceremony during the last competition block.

Start numbers

All athletes must wear start numbers on the front. In the high jump, athletes may choose their placement depending on their technique.

Warm-up

Warm-up is allowed only on the warm-up field next to the main stadium.

Access to the infield

During the competition, coaches are strictly prohibited from entering the infield.

Registration center / Registration

For field events with qualification rounds, check-in at the registration center opens 60 minutes and closes 40 minutes before the start of the event; for track events, it opens 50 minutes and closes 30 minutes before the start.

For finals in the long jump, vortex throw, shot put, and javelin throw, check-in opens 40 minutes and closes 30 minutes before the start of the event.

For sprints and other track events, check-in opens 40 minutes and closes 25 minutes before the start of the event, at the designated registration centers.

Athletes will be escorted from the registration center to their respective competition venues.

Schedule

All teams will receive the schedule; it will be displayed at the registration center and in the results area. It will also be published on the organizer’s website.

It may be adjusted depending on the number of entries.

Heights – starting heights (high jump)

If there are many entries in a category, it will be divided into two groups based on the submitted results; the starting heights for each group will be determined after registration closes.

In the competition, the bar is increased by 5 cm until only five athletes remain, after which it is raised in 3 cm increments.

Awards

All competitors will be awarded a participation medal. In each category, athletes finishing 1st through 3rd will receive medals and diplomas.

At the end of the competition, the best results will be determined in each boys’ and girls’ category.

This evaluation is at the sole discretion of the organizer.

Warm-up / event-specific jumps

Vortex – qualifications: no practice throws; in the final, three warm-up throws.
Shot put – qualifications: two practice throws; in the final, four warm-up attempts.
Javelin throw – qualifications: two practice throws; in the final, three warm-up throws.
Long jump – qualifications: two practice jumps; in the final, four warm-up jumps.

OFFICIAL TRAINING FOR ALL CLUBS

The official training at the stadium is scheduled for Thursday, July 9, from 16:00 to 19:00, without the possibility of throwing events.

Entry to the stadium at other times is strictly prohibited!!!

Equipment measurement will take place on Friday and Saturday at the stadium, from 08:00 to 09:00, at the check-in center at the start of the 100-meter race.

Relays: the relay team composition must be submitted to the race office by Saturday, July 11, by 12:00, using the provided form.

Very important notice: due to the large number of participants, it is necessary to arrive at the very beginning of the presentation of each discipline!!!

Technical meeting

Will be held in the dining hall of the Secondary School Dormitory “Srećno” in Ćuprija on Thursday at 20:30., where the team leader will receive information about the race itself. Only one representative from each team may attend the technical meeting.

Competition fee for groups without accommodation is 40 EUR.

Distribution of starting numbers

Distribution of start numbers: for groups without accommodation provided by the organizer, start numbers will be distributed on Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 16:00 to 18:00 or on Friday, July 10, 2026 from 07:30 to 09:00 in the tent near the stadium stand, and after 09:00 at the competition office near the stand.

Complaints

Protests must be submitted in writing within 30 minutes of the official results being announced, at the competition office located at the stadium, accompanied by a EUR 50.

Event physician

Available throughout the competition in a tent on the infield, near the podium next to the finish line.

Additional general information

Changing rooms and sanitary facilities
Athletes who are accommodated in dormitories will use the accommodation facilities for changing. Athletes who come only for the competition will use the changing rooms in the stadium building at the start of the 100-meter races, which are intended only for changing and not for storage. The organizer cannot be held responsible for the loss of personal belongings. This building also contains social areas. In addition, toilets and disinfection will be provided in the form of mobile toilets directly within the stadium area.

Refreshments
Refreshments during the competition will be provided in sufficient quantities directly at the stadium throughout the day, where you can have lunch and get refreshments. Ceremonial parade: each team will provide a maximum of eight athletes and one coach for the ceremonial parade, one of whom will be the flag bearer of the team. All participants of the ceremonial start will gather on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 18:00 on the straight track (opposite the main stand). The ceremonial start will take place at the illuminated stadium from 18:30, with an accompanying program.

Souvenirs + additional program
A merchandise tent for the Balkan Kids Athletics Games 2026 will be available throughout the competition.

Opening ceremony
On Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 7:00 PM, the ceremony will take place at the “Aleksandar Aca Petrović Athletics Stadium” in Ćuprija, 80 Cara Lazara street. Each club must provide up to five athletes and one accompanying person for the ceremony.
